About

Our dream is to inspire confidence in children through fun and engaging productions, workshops and community events. We aim to educate through inventive story-telling and original music. Our work is created for every child, from every background.

Wind Song Theatre productions all feature an original score brought to life with innovative story-telling. Their first show, Footprints In The Snow, premiered at the Winchester Discovery Centre in December 2018 for a Christmas Season with sell out shows. Following the successful run they were commissioned to write a new show for Christmas 2019, Pip’s Post Room. Their brand new show The Duck in Dungarees is set to tour the UK in Summer 2022 and demonstrates the company’s passion for educating about environmental issues in an energetic story with an original folk score.

As part of their education and outreach program they directed and produced I Wish, a new musical by Ashton Moore at the The Palace Theatre Westcliff in 2019. The cast was made up of a mixture of young performers and professional actors.

Wind Song Theatre is co-lead by Rebecca Ward and Lily Streames. They have both enjoyed exciting careers working in stage and film. They met in 2016 performing on a UK tour of a children’s theatre show. Their passion for devising children’s theatre with music and multi-roling was brought together through the creation of Wind Song Theatre in 2018.
